Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. What DriverXchange Is

DriverXchange is an online platform that connects businesses seeking drivers ("Businesses") with individuals seeking driving work ("Drivers") across Northern Ireland. DriverXchange provides an introduction and matching service. DriverXchange does not employ Drivers directly, and does not process Driver pay for temporary, part-time, or emergency placements — Businesses are responsible for paying Drivers directly for hours worked, as set out in Section 4.

2. Accounts

Users must provide accurate, current information when creating a profile.

Businesses are responsible for ensuring any driver they engage has the legal right to work in the UK and holds valid, appropriate licences for the role.

Drivers are responsible for ensuring their licence, qualifications, and any required documentation are accurate and up to date.

DriverXchange reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or misuse the platform.

3. Placement Types

DriverXchange facilitates the following placement types:

Permanent Placement — a Business hires a Driver on a permanent basis.

Temporary Cover — short-term shift or contract cover.

Part-Time Placement — recurring, lower-hour ongoing work.

Emergency Cover — urgent placements requested with short notice (under 48 hours).

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Permanent Placement

Total fee: £800, payable as follows:

£400 upon confirmation of hire, before the Driver's start date.

£400 following the Driver's first working day.

28-Day Guarantee: If the Driver leaves the role (voluntarily or otherwise) within 28 calendar days of their start date, the Business is entitled to a refund of 50% of the total fee paid (£400). Refund requests must be submitted within [X] days of the Driver's departure, in writing, to [contact email].

4.2 Temporary Cover

Flat fee of £120 per booking, payable in full upfront before the placement begins.

This fee is non-refundable once the placement has commenced.

4.3 Part-Time Placement

Flat fee of £180 per placement, payable in full upfront before the placement begins.

This fee is non-refundable once the placement has commenced.

4.4 Emergency Cover

Flat fee of £175, payable in full upfront at the time of booking.

This fee is non-refundable, reflecting the priority handling required to fulfil urgent requests.

4.5 Driver Pay

DriverXchange does not process, withhold, or take any percentage of a Driver's pay. For Temporary, Part-Time, and Emergency placements, the Business is solely responsible for paying the Driver directly, at a rate agreed between the Business and the Driver, for all hours worked. DriverXchange is not a party to, and accepts no liability for, disputes relating to a Driver's pay, hours, or working conditions once a placement has commenced.

5. No Guarantee of Performance

DriverXchange takes reasonable steps to verify Driver profiles, licences, and stated qualifications. However, DriverXchange does not guarantee the performance, reliability, timekeeping, or conduct of any Driver, nor the suitability of any Business, beyond the verification steps described in our onboarding process. Businesses and Drivers are responsible for their own due diligence before entering into a placement.

6. Cancellations

[To be defined: e.g., notice period required to cancel a confirmed placement before it begins, and any cancellation fee that may apply.]

7. Data Protection

DriverXchange processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Details of what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy. DriverXchange is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriverXchange's total liability arising from or in connection with these Terms, or use of the platform, shall not exceed the total fees paid by the User in the three (3) months preceding the claim. DriverXchange is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of business, profit, or opportunity.

9. Termination

DriverXchange may suspend or terminate any account at its discretion, including for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the platform. Users may close their account at any time by contacting [contact email].

10. Changes to These Terms

DriverXchange may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified to registered Users where reasonably practicable.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

12. Contact
